How long does OnlyFans take to pay out? Your earnings sit as a pending balance for about 7 days; after that you can withdraw them (the minimum is $20), and according to OnlyFans a payout takes 3 to 5 business days to process, plus however long your bank takes to post it. In practice, expect one to two weeks between a sale and the money in your account, and a little longer for your very first payout.

Below you’ll find each stage, the payout methods (and why PayPal isn’t one of them) and what changes in the US, the UK, Canada and Australia.

OnlyFans payout time, stage by stage

Stage What happens How long it takes
1. Sale A fan pays for a subscription, a tip or a paid message, and your share (80%) lands as pending balance Instantly
2. Pending balance OnlyFans holds the money in case of refunds or chargebacks on the fan’s card About 7 days
3. Available balance You can request a payout once you reach the $20 minimum Whenever you choose
4. Processing OnlyFans processes the request and sends the money to your payout method 3 to 5 business days, according to OnlyFans
5. Arrival Your bank or e-wallet receives it; international transfers can go through intermediary banks From hours to several business days, depending on the bank and the country

Weekends and bank holidays don’t count as business days: a payout you request on a Friday afternoon usually won’t move until Monday.

Why your first payout takes longer

The first payout is the slowest, for several reasons: your payout details get checked, your bank may review an international transfer it wasn’t expecting and, on new accounts, the holding period may be longer. A practical tip: request your first payout as soon as you reach the minimum. That way you confirm your method works before more money builds up.

OnlyFans payout schedule: manual or automatic

OnlyFans doesn’t pay on a fixed date. In Statements you’ll see two figures: your pending balance, which you can’t touch yet, and your available balance, which you can withdraw. There are two ways to do it:

  • Manually: when your available balance is over the minimum, you tap the button to request a payout. It’s the most practical option at the start, because you decide when and how much.
  • Automatically: you can have your balance withdrawn on a schedule, without requesting it each time.

How to withdraw your OnlyFans earnings

  1. Make sure your payout method is added and approved in Banking.
  2. Go to Statements and check your available balance.
  3. If it’s over $20, tap the button to request a payout.
  4. Track the request. If it shows as sent and the money hasn’t arrived after a few business days, ask your bank to trace the transfer.

OnlyFans payout methods and options

Your payout options depend on the country of residence you entered when you verified, and you’ll see them when you add your payout method. The usual ones:

  • Bank transfer to an account in your name. In the US, that’s a direct deposit in dollars. Elsewhere it’s often an international transfer that your bank receives in dollars and converts to your currency, unless you have a US-dollar account.
  • E-wallets like Paxum, in the countries where they’re offered. The money usually reaches the wallet sooner, and from there you move it to your bank, paying the wallet’s fees.

If you haven’t added yours yet, it’s step 4 of how to make an OnlyFans account.

Can you get paid through PayPal?

No. OnlyFans doesn’t let you get paid through PayPal or link a PayPal account as a payout method, and fans can’t pay with PayPal either. The reason is PayPal’s own policy, which doesn’t allow payments related to adult content. Venmo and Cash App aren’t on the list either.

So any website, app or person offering to “cash out your OnlyFans to PayPal” is putting a middleman between you and your money. You’d be handing access to your earnings (and sometimes to your account) to someone you can’t claim anything from if they disappear. Stick to the methods OnlyFans offers in your country.

OnlyFans payout percentage, fees and exchange rates

  • OnlyFans’ 20% is already taken out: the balance you see is your 80%. For a realistic idea of what’s left at the end, see how much you can make on OnlyFans.
  • Some methods have their own fee or minimum, which you’ll see when you choose them.
  • Currency conversion costs money. Outside the US, your bank applies its own exchange rate, usually worse than the mid-market rate, and may charge a fee to receive an international transfer.
  • International transfers can carry intermediary bank fees, taken out along the way.
  • E-wallets charge to receive, convert or send money to your bank, so compare before you choose.

If your bank charges a flat fee for every incoming transfer, it’s cheaper to withdraw less often and more each time.

OnlyFans payouts by country

The logic is the same everywhere: an account or e-wallet in your name, a balance in dollars and fees that depend on your bank. This is what changes, as of October 2026.

United States

US creators usually get paid by direct deposit (ACH) to a US bank account. The money stays in dollars, so there’s no currency conversion and no intermediary banks. Before your first payout you’ll also give OnlyFans your tax details for a Form W-9, with your SSN or an EIN. ACH transfers only move on banking days, so weekends and federal holidays add time.

United Kingdom

Your balance is in dollars and your account is in pounds, so there’s always a conversion somewhere: either OnlyFans pays you in pounds or your bank converts an incoming dollar transfer. Before your first payout, ask your bank what it charges to receive an international payment and which exchange rate it uses. UK bank holidays don’t count as business days.

Canada

Expect your payout to arrive as an international transfer to your Canadian account, or in an e-wallet if one is offered to you. Many Canadian banks offer US-dollar accounts: receiving into one lets you decide when to convert to Canadian dollars instead of taking the rate on the day. Ask your bank about its fee for incoming wires, and remember that statutory holidays don’t count as business days.

Australia

Payouts usually reach Australian accounts as an international transfer, converted to Australian dollars by your bank unless you have a foreign currency account. International transfers can pass through intermediary banks, which adds time and sometimes fees, and public holidays (which vary by state) don’t count as business days.

Wherever you live, what you earn on OnlyFans has to be declared to your tax authority. The basics for each country are in our guide to OnlyFans taxes.

Why an OnlyFans payout is late (and what to do)

Cause What to do
Wrong bank details (account number, routing or SWIFT code, account holder’s name) Check them in Banking and fix them before your next payout
The account isn’t in your name or doesn’t match your verification Switch to your own account; if your verification isn’t complete, finish it with our verification guide
Your bank is holding the transfer to review it Explain where it comes from (payments from a platform for your services) and keep your OnlyFans statements to hand
Weekends, bank holidays or intermediary banks Wait a few business days before you chase it
OnlyFans is reviewing your account (chargebacks, rule warnings) Check your notifications and contact OnlyFans support

If a payout is taking longer than usual, go in this order: check the request status in OnlyFans; if it shows as sent, ask your bank to trace the transfer; and if it still doesn’t show up, contact OnlyFans support with the date and amount of the payout.

When the money lands

Two habits save you a lot of trouble: download your OnlyFans statements every month along with proof of what you received, and set aside part of every payout for taxes. If your bank or your tax authority ever asks where the money comes from, you’ll have the answer ready.
